Not a lot to report to my viewing audience out there. My butt muscles are about back to normal after the horseback riding incident.
The diet is going well. I bought a FitBit off of eBay and am tracking my activity now. That’s helping to get activity points, but the real advantage is in the evidence of my sedentary lifestyle. Writing (sitting and moving your fingers) isn’t exactly long bouts of exercise. All this tracking stuff takes time, but it’ll be worth it to see my activity levels rise and my weight come off. First week I lost 3.5lb. Go, me!
And speaking of writing, NaNoWriMo progress has been slow. I’ve been trying forever (it seems like) to finish this erotic romance novella and it just won’t die. It finally occurred to me last night that I’m kinda bored with what I’ve been writing. At the post-black moment, it’s dragging on too long. Cisco and Julia aren’t on the page together enough, so I’m losing the romance feeling of the piece. I fear this may mean deleting some of my hard-won words, but the story will be stronger for it. Wish me luck. I’m ready to move on to the next project.
A few days ago I posted that I had news about one of my offspring. Well, that would be my son, Jason. After two years and an arduous and frustrating journey through the application and testing phase, he was hired by the Austin Fire Department as a Civilian Fire Cadet for Cadet Class #115. My son is a fireman (in training). As a mom, I have to brag a bit and say I’m proud of the way he went for his dream and stuck with it.
That’s all I’ve got for today. What have y’all been up to? Do share. I love it when you talk to me. (hint, hint)
