Progress of a different kind

Here’s the house DH & I have been renovating.

Not even avocado – not sure what you’d call this hideous green and yellow, but it had to go. Don’t know what inspired the former occupants to add pink walls to the mix.

Ahhh. Structural damage fixed and cosmetics started. Even though it’s still a work in progress, it’s already much better, don’t you think?

Lots of paint and a carpet install later:

A little power washing does wonders…

Everything re-done in the kitchen: ceiling, walls, countertops, light fixtures, new appliances & sink, cabinets refinished, new doorway and new tile floor. Almost there…

    >Yeah, my right hand is still sore from holding the paint brush and roller – mostly the brush. I don’t want to paint again for awhile, but unfortunately we’ve got to go back and finish it in about 5 weeks. Ugh!
