Arkansas and Canada bound

Today was another milestone in my career. I mailed off my first requested partial–to Wanda Ottewell in Canada. Yippee!!! Load off! The picture I’ve included is a scene close to Makapuu lighthouse that my heroine, Leilani, snaps a photo of. Pretty odd, huh? All that cactus and the Pacific as a backdrop. But hey, don’t expect my page count to rise drastically in the next week even though the partial is gone, because…

DH and I are at it again. No, not fighting. We really don’t do that. We’re headed back to Arkansas to finish renovations on his old home place. I will be a painting blur once again. This time we don’t have the use of the camper trailer to live in, so packing is a nightmare that includes a blow-up bed, linens, food and enough picnic type foods and utensils to survive.

Augh! Just remembered I need dog food, too. Beau loves to travel and has been known to scarf down a few of those awful Crystal burgers as an on-the-road meal. I always suspected they were dog food disguised.

I did inform DH that I needed two UNINTERRUPTED hours a day to keep my head in my WIP and make some headway. He just kinda looked confused, poor baby.

Until I return… happy reading and writing!

P.S. Happy Birthday to the MIL! We’ll see you in a few.

  3. >Hey! I’m from Arkansas!! I was raised in Jonesboro and my mom now lives in Hot Springs Village, lol. Wow, what a small bloggerly universe that one of my 6 bloggrollers has ties to ‘the natural state’. (Used to be “the land of opportunity”, but they decided to stop kidding themselves…just kidding, tee-hee. I can make fun of it because I grew up there!) Have a great trip!!
