>I’ve been…dripping

>Constant dripping hollows out a stone. – Lucretius

My apologies to anyone who happens to still be checking on my blog for whatever reason. I’ve been…dripping. Why? See the quote above.

That’s my way of telling you I’ve been trying to keep my nose to the grindstone, keeping my butt in the chair, hands on keyboard. Gotta keep ‘dripping’ so I can hollow out a spot for myself in the world of publishing. And as you might guess from the sometimes posts on here about me blogging at PF&HT or other happenings there, I’ve been devoting some time to that endeavor too. Something had to be neglected for awhile and it was this blog.

But as of today, I’m making a concerted effort to post something on a regular basis. Honest.

Mother’s Day has been on my mind the last few days. Not for myself, but what to send my mom. She’s old and sick and in pain most of the time. The bulk of things I could get her would never get used. Others she’d consider a waste of money and would roll her eyes. I’ve got the perfect card and that’s going in the mail tomorrow. It’s one of those you record a short message and it plays a song that makes me tear up when applied to my mama, because this could easily be her last Mother’s Day. Any quick ideas for a shut-in that can be mailed or overnighted?
