I pitched! I scored!

Lest you think I’ve become athletic (Now that WOULD be news!), I’ll tell you right up front that I’m talking about my pitch in the Editor Pitch Challenge for Harlequin Mills and Boon’s Medical Romance. That took place yesterday and the blurb I sent in was well-received. I also got a request for a partial (3 chapters and a synopsis). Yay!

I did a little pre-planning, had a few answers ready on the computer so I could cut and paste. Not a bad idea. I’d say I used 1/3 to 1/2 of what I had prepared.

Each day I’m getting deeper into the personalities and heads of Tom and Lanna and enjoying the ride. Another good thing came from the pitch session: A question the editor asked got me to thinking about Tom, my hero, and yet another part of him was revealed. Love, love, love when that happens. It makes the story so much richer.

So…I’m one step closer with this Baywatch meets Private Practice story and hope there’s more good news in the coming months.
