Last week, my new novel, The Widows’ Gallery, was released by The Wild Rose Press. The Widows’ Gallery is a Lobster Cove Series book that opens on a cruise ship, makes a stop in Florence, Italy, and is primarily set in Lobster Cove, Maine.

What is Lobster Cove?

Lobster Cove is a fictional small town on the coast of Maine, near Bar Harbor. It is quaint and quirky with a colorful history, a friendly population of charming residents, and a vibrant tourist business. It is home to research scientists and small shop owners, grumpy cops and sassy chefs. Back in the day, it was a bustling fishing town and home to many immigrants, from both the state cabins and the lowest decks.

Lobster Cove authors can write across all of the publisher’s lines, from historicals to contemporary, romance, mainstream, and paranormal, with heat levels from sweet to erotic or anything in between, as long as submissions take place in Lobster Cove and also meet the guidelines for the individual line, including heat level and tone. The Widows’ Gallery is a women’s fiction that features four romances, and my second book, Someday My Prints Will Come, is a fantasy novella that will be released soon.

Abigail Adams Longley looked around at the three women flanking her in Hall 10/14 of the Uffizi Gallery. They were all staring at The Birth of Venus like wide-eyed art students. Admittedly, the painting was as compelling as when the Medici family originally commissioned the tempera on canvas in the fifteenth century. But for Abigail, seeing the painting again wasn’t cathartic. It was beautiful, but that wasn’t the feeling she was going for. Peace. Why couldn’t she get some goddamned peace in this life?

Marilyn Baron is a corporate public relations consultant in Atlanta. She’s a member of Romance Writers of America and Georgia Romance Writers (GRW), recipient of the GRW 2009 Chapter Service Award and winner or finalist of writing awards in single title, suspense romance, novel with strong romantic elements and paranormal romance.

When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading, going to movies, eating Italian food and traveling. She often sets her stories in places she’s visited, including Bermuda, Australia and Italy, where she spent six months studying in Florence during her senior year in college.
