>On a personal note:
I feel like a nomad these days. This week I’m in Oklahoma visiting with my sister and mother. Mama’s health is…precarious, so the trip is bittersweet. It’s difficult to see the active woman who commanded such authority in my formative years so tiny and fragile now.

Regarding writing:
Last night I received my critiques from the Put Your Heart In A Book contest. Actually, I was handed Jessica Faust’s notes after the awards ceremony. These two were from editor, Susan Litman and author, Virginia Kantra. Great feedback and comments from three very different sources. Within them, nuggets that gave me ‘ah-ha!’ moments regarding Claire and Travis’ story. I see a bit more work ahead of me regarding this manuscript, but the bones are good. Such is the writing life. I shall persevere.

On a more global note:
Tomorrow is Election Day. Decide today to vote, no matter what!
