Hopelessly lost

I think I’m hopelessly lost on the subject of blogging, blog linking, and blog rings. Definitely got to do some research and figure things out. I mean, I’m no dummy when it comes to computer stuff (usually), but with everything I’ve been doing lately in the writing world, this just seems like a higher mountain than I want to climb right now.

I’m expanding “Mr. Dependable” (one of my short stories) right now. Then I need to tackle more edits on TRG and start KITA. I think Travis and Claire have just about given up on me writing their story. For more info about them, check out the My Books page on my website: http://www.geocities.com/carolburnside2004/ . I also need to finish an article I agreed to write for the AlohaRWA February newsletter. Yikes, then there’s crits and keeping up with this blog. Suddenly, there’s an awful lot of writing and writing-related tasks to keep up with.

Think I’ve just given myself a headache.

P.S. How funny is it that the spelling checker for Blogger doesn’t recognize the word “Blog”? 😀

Catch 22

>Well, since I’ve sold “Insight” I’ve set up and designed my website (see it at http://www.geocities.com/annierayburn/), hired cover art done, and am working on designing bookmarks, stationary & business cards that reflect my website, too. But it occurred to me in the midst of all this that it’s a lot of work for one erotic story sold. Better go write another, then another, if I’m to make a go at this thing, eh? Of course, the blog must be maintained, website updated – and then there’s more edits and covers, etc. See what I mean about the Catch 22???

I’ve just joined a blog ring. We’ll see if that drives any more traffic to my blog and website. Although I’ve seen some of those blogs and I don’t think I’m quite in their league.

Now to figure out how to get my darn cover art to post here…

Cover Art done

>Dawn Seewer was very patient with me. It’s a good thing, too, because I hadn’t a clue what I was doing – just going by instinct on what I thought would look good in thumbnail form and larger, too. I think we did pretty well together. I guess reviews will have a hand in sales as well as the cover. But I think it will draw attention.

Now I’m off to review my 2005 goals and break them down into more manageable pieces so that I can actually meet them. Wish me luck.

Hello? Anyone out there reading this yet?

back to writing…
