Her Holiday Dare

I don’t have a blurb prepared yet for this book as I’m still writing it, so I’ll tell you a bit about my process with this one.

Lucy was mentioned in Mistletoe Weddings, then in All In, she was a good friend of Carla’s.

I had other books planned before hers, but she kept whispering to me about her background and why she’d been adopted as a teen by her aunt. I started wondering what kind of guy I could pair her with that she wouldn’t guard her heart against so fiercely.

I’d already seen her with a guy named Cade, but I could see right away that it wasn’t a healthy relationship and she needed to kick him to the curb. But she was kinda addicted to him in the way that women can be, sometimes, with guys who are absolutely lousy for us.

Then I thought, a best friend, perhaps? And just like that, Her Holiday Dare was born with Roman as her best friend and hero. My writing friend calls him a golden retriever hero, but he has a strong name. Lucy, on the other hand, has a sweet name, but a steely backbone. She’s been through a tragedy as a teen that would take most adults to their knees.

I can’t wait to see what readers think of their story!
