In need of a mental health break after a traumatic incident, Carly goes to Hawaii with her friend, JoJo, for an extended stay at her family’s condo. Also sharing the condo is Ethan, JoJo’s uncle, a professor with a tragic background who looks like he belongs on a surfboard. When JoJo announces she has to return home, Carly faces sharing the condo with Ethan, whose seemingly carefree lifestyle and exhibitionist ways attract her like no other has.
The promise of what could be draws them closer. But even if they didn’t live a long distance from each other, deep caverns of memories neither want to explore keep their hearts locked away.
Will the connection they feel for each other ever be enough for them to overcome their reluctance to face their pasts and move beyond the hurt toward a future together?
