Sweetwater Springs series (Vol #8)
Nate and Lilli
As of the moment I’m writing this, Trust Fall (previously mentioned as The Baby Pact) will be the 8th book in the Sweetwater Springs series.
Okay, so if you’ve read Second Chances, you might remember that Mayor Jake had a sister named Lilli (short for Lilliana) Dreyer. She was in the midst of a divorce, but wanted to have a family, even if it had to be with a donor and IVF.
Dixie Jo married Mayor Jake, so Lilli bought her sister-in-law’s old house, moved back from Little Rock, and resumed her business as a graphic artist.

In Trust Fall, I paired Lilli with her former college roommate’s widower, Nathaniel (Nate) Riverton. He remembers how quaint the town was from their college days when he and Melanie would go home with Lilli on weekends. As such, it would be the ideal place for the kind of coffee shop/cafe he has in mind. When he visits Sweetwater Springs and sees the old, abandoned corner church with its arched, stained-glass windows and cavernous front interior, he knows he’s found the perfect home for his future cafe and himself.
Nate figures he’ll pour all his energies into the cafe project, and it’ll help him forget about the babies that he and Mel never had.
Except babies are frequently on Lilli’s mind and he starts wondering if they could reach an agreement, one where they’d co-parent a child that both of them want. It’s crazy, right, but what if she says yes?
