So here’s how the last round of submissions is going…
- “Marinara Magic” to Woman’s World on 9/8/04 – form Rejection, & a bad copy at that.
- “Home for Christmas” to Arabella on 9/8/04 – no response yet.
- “Homecoming” to Adam’s Media on 9/10/04 – ACCEPTED for The Rocking Chair Reader anthology, Fall, 2005
- “Winter’s Bride” to Brown County Writer’s Group’s Frosted Pane edition – no response yet.
Not too bad, although I’d have probably had a heart attack if Woman’s World had accepted.
Such is the life of a writer. Lots of patience needed. Lots of rejection, and we struggle to remember it’s not necessarily the quality of the writing since a lot of things factor into the big “R”.
Well, I’ve got a party to plan, Christmas decorations to put up and a host of writing tasks that need my attention. Somewhere in there, I need to grab a few hours of sleep too.
So long, and come back soon!
