>Well, now that I’ve gotten Editor Wanda Ottewell’s comments on Return to Paradise and let them sink in, I’ve started reading (or re-reading) the Desires Melissa Jeglinski recommended as reflecting the new guidelines. Maybe perusing, or studying would be a better word for what I’m doing. In any case, I’m trying to get a feel for this new uber-Alpha hero and ideas are percolating.
I need to do the pre-writing on my next manuscript and have the 1st 25 pages and a synopsis in the GRW March workshop coordinator’s hands by Feb. 17. That’s 26 days. I’m thinking I’d better break that down into daily goals so I don’t have to cram at the end. I have a few other committments to work in there as well.
Trying to potty train a 9-week old puppy is high on the list of priorities. Remember the puppy pics I posted? His name is Murphy, and his “ticks” are beginning to darken across his nose. I’ll post new pictures soon, I promise. The older he gets, the more pronounced his “ticks” get in number and color depth. Today has been a particular trial in the quest for minimal accidents. It’s raining outside, and Murphy isn’t a fan of peeing in the rain. Go figure. I must don raingear and accompany him outside on a regular basis for the preservation of my carpets. *sigh* What we won’t do for our pets!
Just for grins, I’ll leave you with a quote to ponder.
“Dwelling on the negative simply contributes to its power.” ~ Shirley MacLaine ~
Well said, Ms. MacLaine.
>Huh. And with that quote in mind, I make the negative The Great and Powerful Oz.Good luck with that pre-writing!
