Erotic romance selling BIG

>I keeping with yesterday’s topic, there have been a lot of new sales in the romance writers community lately. Most of them are first print sales, and all are breaking into the business with sexy-to-erotic romance writings.

Larissa sold to Red Sage.

Steph sold to Harlequin Blaze

Cece sold to Aphrodisia, an erotic imprint of Kensington.

On the e-Harlequin forums, the Silhouette Desire line recently purchased two new authors.

In the Passionate Ink chapter, new sales are almost daily. A lot are e-published, but more and more are print media.

Two authors from my local chapter just sold erotic short stories in the next Zane anthology which is predicted to have a distribution of 250,000.

And Sylvia just contracted for 2 more single titles for Avon Red–to go with the other 3 she has to produce in the next 18 months or so. Oh, and BTW, she blogged about all the new and relatively new erotic romance imprints with speculation on how long it’ll be before they glut the market.

Interesting stuff.
