>I read a story in the Washington Post today that had me in tears. A man here in Maryland. His wife and six kids in Port-au-Prince when the earthquake struck. He tried to call his wife’s cell, but got nothing. No word from them. He believed them all dead.
I’ve lost a loved one before. One. But seven all at once? The pain would be unimaginable. Days later a call came, routed through a friend. His wife on the other end. Alive. All six children. Alive.
Their house and belongings all gone, and they were dirty, starving and thirsty, but alive. A miracle to be sure. Now if they can just survive until enough aid gets through.
Pray for the people of Haiti and for those that toil to help them.
