My Thursday at the RWA 2014 conference included a lot of workshops and a side trip to the Alamo. Honestly, it was only a couple blocks, so Terry Spear, Susan Carlisle and I walked over and enjoyed a little respite from the crowds. Here are a few pictures of the grounds as no pictures are allowed inside.
That’s Susan Carlisle waiving at us.
That’s Terry Spear on the Alamo grounds, inside the perimeter walls. It’s a lovely oasis surrounded by modern city.
The beautiful fountain just beyond where Terry is standing. And to the right, flowers as tall as a person. Aren’t they beautiful?
Tomorrow: Friday breakfast meeting and a surprise celebrity author or two.
Glad you enjoyed the Alamo, my son visited when he was in boot camp. Said it was smaller than he thought. Agatha

It is fairly small. I’ve been to the Alamo before, and had the same reaction.
