They’re Back, they’re back!

Okay, so I broke my silence already. I guess this blog is more of a habit than I knew. Just had to shout out to the world that the words are back!  I pushed and pushed the last two days, struggling to get back into a story I’d put aside in order to get a couple contest entries ready.  FINALLY last night late I began to catch the excitement again, and the words and scenes are beginning to flow.  I scarcely dared to hope when I went to bed (at 5:30 A.M.!!!) but I knew for sure when the words woke me up 5 hours later, clamoring in my head.

Woo-HOO!

Yippee!

Of course, this just means I’ll probably be more buried in my WIP than I thought before, so really–don’t expect much in the way of posts for the rest of the month.

Off to write…

Later, gator!

I won’t be posting much for the rest of this month.  Life and writing are intruding.  I’m taking an online workshop, trying to add tons to my WIP, have a GRW meeting, a vacation coming up, and a conference, blurbs, and pitches to prepare for.

A CP just received her first request for a full, and I’ll be critiquing the chapters as she polishes them.

Oh, and then there’s the regular life stuff… sigh!

Not the same ol’

Since I have visitors in various stages of their published career, I thought you might be interested in what a multi-pubbed, wildly popular author is doing for promotion these days.

Check this out for a clever example of how an author is combining a one-minute movie/video/commercial, using her branding, website, and excerpts to bring in even more readers. (Stephanie and her hubby made the video.)

If you enjoy the movie, please forward to others in your address book!

You wouldn’t think Stephanie Bond would need to work so hard to promote, but I swear the woman doesn’t take anything for granted – let alone that her next book will sell as well as the last. I guess we could all take a lesson from that.
