Charlotte returns!

Yay!  Charlotte Dillon is back at home.  Well, sort of.  Her house had too much water and is molding so they’re in her son’s house across the street.  See her posts here about what conditions are like.  Her car is totaled, thanks to Katrina.  See sidebar link to help her survive this awful disaster.

Force Yourself

Well, heck, maybe this has become a habit.  Using Blogger for Word makes it sooo easy to just shoot off one of these babies lickety-split and I needed a wee, mental break.  So…

Writing for today:  Finish revising RTP, Chapters 3 and 4. (I’m halfway through 3.)

Food for today:  Homemade chicken noodle soup and hot buttered cornbread (Made in a cast-iron skillet, of course!). My granny taught me how to make it the right way.

eBay today:  Yay!!!!  I’m still the high bidder on the item I’d like to purchase in Larissa’s auction. See link on sidebar to participate.

Quote for today:  The Force is always with you— so force yourself. – Harrison Ford on Star Wars

Hmm.  Good advice, that!  Speaking of, gotta go force myself through more pages.

I remember 9/11/01

Linda’s simple 9/11 blog message brought it all back…

–Hearing the horror on the early morning news almost as it was happening.
–needing simple human contact
–waking my son with the news and for once he didn’t grumble
–both of us sitting on the couch, choking back tears as the shock worsened
–breaking down as we watched people jumping to their deaths to escape an inferno

Oh, my God!

I remember. I didn’t want to, but I’m glad I did.

She’s right.  We should never forget.
