Road trip and writing

Last week was slow writing wise. My DH and I took a road trip to Colorado. We saw the kids, caught Jason in the leading role in Candida, met Holly’s new BF, saw friends and former co-workers, ate way too much and drank too much. Everyone wanted to have lunch or dinner.

During the hours of endless monotony on the highway, I read through FKoG and edited–again. The middle needs something. It doesn’t seem as cohesive as the rest. I’m not sure what to do to it yet, but it’ll come to me. I’ve already added another scene that I wanted to begin with. Don’t know why I didn’t include it to start with. ::shrug::

When I got bored with that, I worked on the first chapter of KiTA. Thank goodness for my Alphie (AlphaSmart). Fleshed out the first scene and I think it works pretty well, but the chapter ending sucks. Got to fix that pronto and get it to the CP’s. ::sigh:: Why is it nothing seems easy these days?

The End

>

What lovely words. I love starting a new story, but can’t hardly wait to type The End, either.

Yes, Phantoms & Fantasies is finished! Done. All over with. Did I mention it’s completed? It ended up a little longer than I’d planned, but I’m pretty happy with it. Will see what the CP’s make of the last few chapters and then I’ll tackle edits before sending off to HeatWave. But, for now I think I’ll let my alter-ego work on something not so erotic.

Not to worry. I’ll still have things to blog about. HeatWave Romance will be launching their website in 3 weeks and I’ll probably be on a couple of their online chats. Will post the info here in case anyone is interested in joining us. In late April, or early May, I’ll also need to start promoting Insight with excerpts posted here and there.

Plenty to do. Gotta run get some crits done. Later!

No win, but still…

Well, FKoG didn’t win, but I’m still pleased as punch (ignore the chiche) that it made the finals. 🙂 (Since I know you’re ALL on the edge of your seats, waiting…)
