P & F Blurb

>These things are hard, but they seem to help me. It’s like a little snapshot of the entire story. So, here’s the blurb I came up with for Phantoms & Fantasies ( the novella I’ve been going on and on about with nauseating regularity) —

Zeenie LaShey is not your typical Crainesian female. After a rape in her late teens, she shuts off most of her empathic and telepathic abilities. When she feels the pheromonal heat of her life mate Turk Fontaine, she promptly blocks it out and avoids him, phantoms of the past closing her mind to the possibility of a physical relationship.

Years later, still smarting from her rejection, Turk pursues her, despite his actions being more human tradition than Crainesian. Will the lure of their intense sexual attraction, compounded by pheromones send Zeenie running, or release a deep sensuality she never knew existed? To find the answer and fulfill his ultimate fantasy, Turk must open his mind and body to Zeenie, risking his heart in the process.

Exactly 125 words (HeatWave’s max requirement for a blurb.)

Plotting, jotting and tweaking

In my post titled Foreplay or All The Way? and Foreplay Revisited, I talked about the plotting board. Steph’s comment kind of freed my completely ‘in the box’ way of thinking. Duh! So, I’ve decided to give it another shot.

In my current WIP, Knight in Tarnished Armor ( or KiTA ) I’ve got a pretty broad view of what’s going to happen, but only about 16 concrete scenes in my head and they’re not all in order. So, I’m jotting down the scenes I do have, using the colored sticky notes, trying to keep in mind turning points, etc. Whew! I may become a full-fledged plotter after all.

Chapter One is almost finished. Just needs a little tweaking. 😉
