>Today Hubby and I are westward bound with all three dogs. I’ve got a camper, a laptop with a strong battery, a brand spankin’ new Kindle and noise-canceling headphones. What more could a girl want?

>Busy, busy, busy. January has barely begun and already things are hopping around my house. Hubby is now officially retired but loaded up our camper all day yesterday. Mid-day we stopped to attend a New Year’s Day party at one of the neighbor’s.
Now that the Christmas company has gone, we’ve also been stripping the house of Christmas decor and packing for a trip. Hubby is going pheasant hunting with the dogs and I’m visiting with my sister. Just so our ancient cat doesn’t freak out, a neighbor is visiting her daily and keeping an eye on our place. Love that about our neighborhood. Always someone willing to help out and we try to recriprocate. (Thanks, Jeanne!)
When we return, it’s moving time! Packing and sorting will ensue. Somewhere in all this, I’ve got to get my edits done and turned in to my Red Sage editor. In addition, I need to revise another story and resubmit it and plan another project or two.
I’ve got to quit thinking about what’s to be done or else I’ll start panicking. Thank goodness for laptops and internet. I can keep up my online presence and work while away from home.
That’s a little about my current situation. How’s your 2011 going so far?
>Can’t say I’m not glad to see 2010 go. It brought much stress and sorrow into my life. The year exited quietly at my house, helped along by a bottle of the bubbly stuff which hubby and I shared. Though I lost three family members, 2010 wasn’t all bad. My husband retired, we bought a new home, had some nice visits with family and friends, and something else interesting happened.
I sold a book!
Yep, that’s the good news I hinted at not long ago. Actually, I got an e-mail the day after Thanksgiving and signed the contract right before Christmas for an Sci-Fi/Paranormal erotic romance that will be published under the pen name of Annie Rayburn. Bittersweet Obsessions should be available as an e-book from Red Sage Publishing this spring or early summer. Yay!!
This Wednesday, I’ll be blogging on the Petit Fours and Hot Tamales site about getting “The Call”, then Thursday there will be my regular blogging day. I’ll try to remember to leave you reminders, but I’ll be traveling, so forgive me if I don’t.
