>Gotta gripe!

>I gotta gripe. Ever once in awhile you just gotta, ya know?

Anyways, my gripe is about chain e-mails. You know the ones I’m talkin’ about:

“Send this back to me and 8 other people and something great will happen to you. Delete it and horrible boils will make your arm fall off.”or something to that effect.

Let’s get one thing clear right off the bat. I hate them. I get way too many of them, sometimes more than once. Yep, you guessed it. If I have a friend in common with another friend and they really do send these to each other and 8 other people, guess who’s going to end up on their lists more than once?

Then there’s the religious ones that try to guilt you into sending it forward. The gist of those is that your ashamed of God if you don’t forward and you love Him and are proud of it if you do. Oh, come on, people! I’m supposed to use e-mail to testify now? My relationship with God or pride in my beliefs has nothing whatsoever to do with whether I even open or read to the end of those things, let alone send them along to clog up someone else’s e-mail. If you’re not ashamed of Him, pass this along to as many unsuspecting people you can and annoy them today. Yeah, that’ll win them over.

But I must say the most infuriating in the world for me are the ones that diss a political candidate. I keep my political views to myself for the most part, but some people assume (remember what that word does for u and me???) that if you’re their friend, you must support the same goober they do and voila, I get e-mails lambasting the guy I support. It’s propaganda, folks! Whether it’s for your guy or the other one, it’s gonna be slanted to put one in the best light and the other in the worst. Oh, and here’s a broad hint… the truth is often s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d to the limit on these babies, both on the good of one candidate and the bad of the other. Hint #2? They’ve all got failings. They’re human. None of them have sprouted wings, yet and I doubt they ever will.

I could go on and on regarding the other crap that is passed along in e-mails, but then I’d annoy you because this is getting too long – and that’s all I really had to say anyway.

Whew! I feel better.

Go on, admit it. Somewhere in the reading of this post, you agreed with me, even if it was in the first paragraph.

Have a nice day! Come back soon.

>Thursday’s Random Bits

>I came up with a working title for the WIP: TAMING THE TYCOON. Whataya think?  I’ve got no time to come up with something scintillating (like it’s EVER!) so here’s some fun and interesting stuff out there:

Linda, Elisabeth and Joan launched a blog called Romance Worth Killing For. Designed by the multi-talented Joan, it’s beautiful, informative and entertaining. (No pressure, ladies. LOL!) Check it out.

Tanya Michaels took a trip with toddlers and came back with 10 bits of wisdom to make you chuckle.

Elisabeth got a nice Valentine’s Day present in the way of a contest win. Congrats, E!

Vonda sold another short story and posted some great romance quotes for Valentines Day. Love the one by Judy Garland. * sigh *

Lynn Raye Harris had coffee with Jayne Ann Krentz–in Honolulu, no less!  Lucky girl!!

And I’d post more, but I’ve gotta get back to the WIP.
